Whenever I’ve looked for my purpose in life, I come back to a major lesson I learned from my Dad.
When I was 15, my father was hit as a pedestrian by an automobile. We didn’t know whether he’d survive that accident, but he did recover and lived another 28 years.
You should have seen how he lived those years. He never wasted time, and he never wasted words. He’d learned how precious life was, so he put all his time and energy into activities and relationships he valued. When he finally passed away from pancreatic cancer at the age of 80, he’d created a huge legacy of happy memories. Most importantly, he’d created a life of no regrets.

As I came to understand the greatness in my Dad’s example, I committed myself to living as intentionally as he had. At the time that involved some major life changes: leaving a marriage and a complete change of career for starters. You can read that full story here.
Once I’d successfully transformed my own life and created greater happiness, I wanted to help others do the same. That’s what led me to become a coach. I’m happy and grateful to have helped lots of people walk through the changes needed for them to create happier, more fulfilling lives.
At a recent business retreat, though, I kept sensing that I was missing something about my true purpose. I was profoundly grateful for what I learned from my Dad, but I sensed there was more to my purpose than what I’d learned from him. Until I could put my finger on it, I couldn’t bring all of myself to the table in service to you.
And then it came to me.
And then it came to me.
I’ve just finished recording a three-part video series on how I finally found my true calling and why that matters to you. You can find the entire series in my new Facebook group: Women Rising Beyond Cancer
I created the group to be a warm, private space where we can have a heartfelt conversation about how our beliefs – especially about ourselves – affect the life we create beyond a cancer diagnosis.
You’re invited to click through, join the group and be part of this conversation. We’re talking about what really matters beyond cancer. About how you can create a life that reflects the magnificent strength and wisdom you’ve gained along this path. About how, despite the sucky mess that cancer can be, you can find and live from the beautiful, essential part of yourself that cancer can never touch.
I can’t wait to hear what you have to contribute to this conversation. Click here to join our group now.
Seeing the magnificence in you,
